The Pony Express Home Station holds a clue that will unlock a treasure chest containing more than $100,000 in cash and prizes for participants of CyberSurfari Spring 2003; an educational and fun expedition where players explore more than 100 hand-picked destinations throughout the Internet. CyberSurfari.Org is designed to help students, teachers and families learn to benefit from surfing the Web safely and effectively at school and at home.

Launching April 24, 2003, the comprehensive online expedition is made possible by a 501-C3 nonprofit organization called the Children's Web Surfing Alliance, Inc and the contest's generous sponsors including Lycos, Inc., Discovery School, Educast, Education World, FamilyEducation.com, Hewlett Packard, Knowledge Adventure, National Education Association, Steck-Vaughn Publishing, and Zeeks.Com.

The Pony Express Home Station serves as one of 100 outposts - the contest's participants learn interesting facts as they use their deductive reasoning, Web savvy, and reading comprehension skills to decipher clues and collect treasure codes that count toward their final score. The more than 100 outpost destinations are selected based on a combination of educational content, organization, entertainment value, Web site performance, and a privacy policy for its visitors.
